Looking for the sun

As you all know, we have been having cold and grey days here in the metro Denver area, we were all having cabin fever and heard a rumor of the sun showing its face somewhere near us. We bundled up and went on a search to find it.

Let me down mom...I need to sniff out the place, and find the missing sunshine.

No sun hiding under the snow by the parking blocks!

It is not hiding in the grass either....I do see a prairie dog though...maybe he is searching too.

Nope...no warm sun in this snow...it is kinda deep and sort of wet.

Wait...I can feel something nice!

There it is!!!!!! Yay for the sun and blue skys!

After all my searching, I need to lay down by the wall and soak up some of the warm.

Really Really Cold Here....

Hi friends...been cold and wintery here in Colorado and mom has been busy clicking those sticks that make gloves and hats. She has neglected my bloggie, but she has been visiting all of my friends. Today is my Birfday!!!! I am two years old. Mom says I turned out very well, even if I am a bit "chunky". Since I went to the VET last week and they put me on the scale, mom and dad have been really watching what I get to eat. No more sneaky people food and only measured doggie foodables...I guess I need to lose about 2/12 pounds....I hope to be back in swimsuit shape by the beginning of summer. Stay safe and warm friends. Moms new skill....

Hi Friends,
My mom has picked up a new hobby...she clicks long sticks together and out comes cloth. She made me this sweater from a pattern that the mom of Dip-Dip and The Bridge directed her to. It is a pretty simple pattern for a beginner to follow. This is her first project and I think I will be getting some more that are a little more refined. At least it will keep me warm on those cold outings. Until next time.

Hi furiends,

It finally got to be freezing cold here in Colorado. We got a little snow and below freezing temps.

I recently found the best place to lay down in the whole house. In front of the little radiator that my mom uses to keep warm by her chair since dad likes the house to be 68 degrees and mom wants it warmer. I have been spending lots of time laying there recently. My cousin Harley came with my Human Sister from Illinois...we are having lots of fun playing bitey face and other doggie games. This morning we had scrambled egg with a tiny bite of sausage for our special treat. Last night we ran all around keeping the humans up. Today after a play time we are sleeping with dad. I hope we get a bite of the prime rib tonight.

Hi everyone...here it is almost Christmas and we still don't have any snow. As a matter of fact, it was 70 degrees on Tuesday when mom took these pictures. Today it was cold but still no snow. I am really loving playing fetch with my little balls. Dad throws it and I FLY to get it and bring it back (most of the time, sometimes I get a little distracted by goose poop or some other nummy park snack) Have a fun time this weekend and stay warm all you pupsters that are putting up with the cold and the snow. Ho Ho Ho....The Season Is Here

Hi Friends,

I don't have any reasons for being gone for weeks...I just have a mom who bites of more than she can chew. Silly mom...just take it outside and bury it. Anyway, we have been getting ready for Christmas and decorating the house. I really don't like the lights that much and the Tree is tempting, if you know what I mean. We had our Chihuahua Christmas Meetup, it was so much fun. I hope my mom updates my place more often but you never know around this house.

Hi Friends,
I have been pretty lucky this fall. It has been a little cold but not freezing. Mom and Dad take me for a run in the sports park everyday...It is so fun. I love to play fetch with my blue ball and I love running through the leaves. Mom says the shadows we make are very long cause the sun is lower in the sky now. I guess the snow will come pretty soon though. Mom got her electric comforter down from the closet and plugged it in on her orange chair. I always pick her chair when that blankie is turned on...unless she has the dreaded computer on her lap. Stay happy friends. Until next time,

Windy Day

Hi Friends,
I think fall is finally coming to Denver...we went to the park today and I was happy chasing a ball. Then mom and dad wanted to rest by the big tree with the picnic tables. It was a nice little rest, then all of a sudden the wind started blowing really hard and sticks were blowing out of the tree. Leaves were blowing off the tree and it looked like a leaf blizzard. The doggie bags were blowing straight out. Mom was taking pictures and then it started to rain....we were far from the car so we had to leave before we got soaked. Now it is sunny again but we came home.
I can't get mom and dad out of their chairs, so I guess I will take a nap. Until Again.

Fall Days

Chihuahua Howloween!!!

Yesterday was our fun day with friends. It was the October Chihuahua Meetup and you know what that means...Trick or Treats and Halloween costumes. I met my newest little brother from my Sire...he looks kind of like me in the face, but has our dads long soft fur, coloring and little size. Mom wanted to wisk him away from his new owner and take him home. We had tons of fun running around and then we got lots of treats to take home. Still nice outside, we have been cheating the cold weather here in the city.

Weekend Fun

Hi Friends,
This weekend came and went so fast. I had a couple of days of hunting rabbits in my human brothers backyard and a couple of good walks at the sports park. I didn't catch any rabbits as usual but I made a couple run really fast. Mom and Dad said to enjoy the day because it was a bonus warm day and those days are going to disappear.
I like the sports park in the winter too, as long as I have a coat, but Mom and Dad, they don't like it as much. It was a great walk and a beautiful day. Next Saturday is the Chihuahua Costume Party, I can't wait. I do have to wear my dragon costume, but only for a little while. Until next time pupsters

Today was the kite festival...it was rainy and gloomy again. We went for a little while but the rain was making the kites heavy and they could not fly. Mom made me wear my saddle and she put that stupid toy cowboy from Toy Story on it. Not cool mom!!!!! Lucky for me it got to cold and I was shivering big time so we got to go home. Both times I have gone to this thing it has been cold and miserable, mom said it has been a very good time in years past. I think I will believe it when I see it. Maybe next year. I liked walking on the sidewalk instead of the grass, it was soaked.
This was a HUGE kite, it was flying for a while but got to heavy from the rain.

We were not the only strange people out in the grey...some kites are still flying in this one

There were 3 Lamas there...this guys name is "Some Enchanted Evening" he was very cool and had very long furs that get cut to make yarn....very interesting.

California Beach Chihuahua

We have fully recovered from our long trip away from home. Mom is finally updating my blog with some of my beach pictures. It was really fun playing on the beaches and most of them were very dog friendly. We only went to one beach where I was not allowed, so we didn't stay. I must say I would love to live by the beach. I would go every day and run. I really didn't like going into the water though. Mom made me go in one time but then she just let me do what I wanted, and that was to stay just at the edge. I was worried about the water that tried to suck me out far.

My Picture Book Arrived.

Hi Friends,
My mom is happy today. The book she was making for me came today and she was very pleased. She ordered it from walmart.com in the photo department and they are the best deal.

There are templates there to just place pictures in and she has done that a couple of times with Walgreens Photo. They are nice, but my mom is a scrapbooking freak and she likes to mess with the pictures and make stories of them so she thought the full page option in the templates would work just fine. Other than adjusting where words go along the edges for next time, it turned out great. All your moms should check out the walmart photo department, the books are nice for fur and skin babies alike. Get those pictures off your computer and into a book... You will not regret it. Until Again,

Where the words are above, the machine cut them very close to the edge, they are still there but
no space underneath. Mom learned from this and will adjust her next book for cutting.

I hope everyone is doing good. We are a little tired around my house today because we stayed up really late watching the shooting stars....Mom and Dad saw a handful, but nothing like was predicted. We are probably going to be outside late again for any strays that might fly by. I was sort of freaked out that my humans were outside so late at night, they were up way past their bedtime and mine as well. I hope to get several walks in this weekend, and I heard rumors of a shower/bath. Mom got one of those claw grinders, you know like they advertise on TV, she has some fantasy of grinding down my nails....hahahaha. I will let you all know how that goes BOL...

A new tubey guy...I love these guys...sometimes mom ties a skineez on them and I try to untie it. I really needed a new one of these.

And finally, a fancy necklace for when I go places like shopping or chihuahua meetups...everyone will be soooo jealous. I Love it.

Chihuahua Meetup...Fun With Friends

Happy Monday Friends,
Yesterday we went to my Chihuahua meetup group...I always have so much fun playing with all the puppies....There must have been more than thirty doggies, all sizes from really big to really small. Even a tenny little 10 week old pupster. I just love to play bitey face with all my friends. We got pupcycles too, yummmy! On July 17th it was my Dads birthday, he wanted to have a day just touring around the city and the parks...it was the hottest day of the year. Mom had water for me but I am so little that I was burning up. I had to stop alot and lay in some green grass whenever I could find some. Mom picked me up and carried me alot to. Anyway, remember I know how to swim now and I surprised my mom and dad when I chased a gaggle of geese to the lake and JUMPED right in and started swimming out to them. Mom had me leashed so I had to return before I could bite one of those birds, but I sure tried hard. Swimming is great when it is your idea!

The Vacation Chronicles Final Chapter

Hi Friends, sorry my mom took so long to get the last chapter of my vacation posted. She is suffering from summer laziness....BOL!
After the fun boat races we headed back to Kansas to meet up with my cool cousins, a Big Labrador named "Chance" and two Schnauzers named "Heidi" and "Kylie" I pretty much stayed away from Chance, he thought I looked like a stuffie and I was not in the mood to swing around. Kylie is the senior of the group and she didn't really like to be bothered with me. Heidi was my favorite, we played bitey face and chased each other the whole time. I loved that girl. After a day to relax, we all headed down to Oklahoma to a lake house where we stayed a couple of days. It was relaxing for the humans, boating and swimming were very much included. This is where Mom decided I needed to have a swim experience and I must say, I can swim like a olympic star. I much prefered to stay on the boat though, sun tanning is my cup of tea. A few days of play and it was time to head home. I really liked my adventures this summer and have had even more since we got home. Until next time,

Hey Heidi, are we almost there?

She really LOVES to go swimming.
Here is Chance...water is his paradise...dad kept throwing sticks and Chance would swim to get them.
My most favorite spot when the boat was anchored and the humans decided to play in the water. Mom said I look a little "Stocky" in this picture...that better not mean I don't get as many snacks :(
Look at me go!!!! I was very focused on getting back to the shore and back to sunning.
Chance and Heidi loved the water, Kylie and I liked the dry boat much better.
I had a very tiring day, staying away from the water and watching Mom and Dad act like kids.

The Vacation Chronicles Part 4

Hi Friends,
More vacation pictures. After camping, we headed east to Kansas to take home our cousin who lives in Wellington, way down in the southeast corner and to meet another of my human sisters and her family at the fun boat races in Garnett up in the northeast section of Kansas. We did alot of driving. I am so glad I had my carseat bed, I took tons of shortcuts (sleeping) during that windshield time. Yay!! finally we got to the place where my best bud Harley was waiting for me. I met him when I was a puppy and he was bigger than me...now I am bigger than him BOL. We had tons of fun running around and messing in the water. I mostly got to be off my leash and just be a country dog. It was GREAT! We were there 3 days and I had a ball. Next we will be heading back to Wellington to meet up with dads sister and then to a lake in Oklahoma, where I did my first real swimming and played with my Labrador and Schnauzer friends.

Richard is my Illinois sisters husband, he races these FAST boats as a hobby He wins alot and even gets money....course my sissy says they spend it all on new boat parts and getting to the races so it is a break even. Those little boats are spensive.

Meet Harley...he is why my mom wanted a little chihuahua and found me! He belongs to my Illinois Sister.

We did alot of sitting and visiting under an easy up...it was real hot. Mom doesn't have her hat on...rare moment. That girl is Madison, moms oldest Illinois granddaughter. she was in charge of taking lots of pictures.

Madison and Mackenzie kept going in the lake to wade and Me and Harley just followed them right in.

Getting started, they go out and cruise around the lake and then a timer clock goes to zero and the race is on.

This is Richard coming around in front of us...it made lots of water come up and got everyone cooled off.

Me and Harley, we had so much fun playing together...both of us were so happy, see those big smiles. (Mom I really want a brother to play with)

Ok mom, we won't go out to deep....It feels good in here and I might need a drink of this yummy lake water.

He jumped into our car and I was going to hide him under some pillows...Illinois Sister said NO

Lots of wins and plenty of splashes later, it was time to load up the boats and get in our vehicles...Richard, Sissy Mandy, the Girls and my Buddy Harley headed back to Quincy Illinois and we got in our car and headed to Wellington. I will miss Harley but he might come visit us in August.

The Vacation Chronicles Part 3

Hi Friends,
My mom and dad like to camp. We go a couple of times every summer and I sort of like it. I was just getting over being a little sick this time so my energy level was a bit down. No mad puppy runs down the dusty road or into the trees. Thats OK, I enjoyed laying on someones lap and getting good belly rubs. We had the Kansas cousin, my human sissy and her 2 boys camping with us and we had a campfire and s'mores. I did get a taste of the marshmellows. Next time onward to a little town in Kansas named Garnett. We watched hydroboat racing and saw moms Illinois grandkids. I also had a reunion with "Harley" my spunky Chihuahua cousin Until next time,

Here I am surveying the camp site. Mom put a red blankie by our tent for me to lay on but I wanted to check out everything first.
I brought my bed from home...I was really very comfortable. Mom and Dad had a futon with a sleeping bag. In the middle of the night I had to go outside and pee....that was an adventure in itself. At home I just pop outside and go. At camping, I barked so mom had to wake up, find my harness, and take me outside in the pitch black. It was so starry.
It is so important to stay hydrated in the heat of the day. Mom was always putting a water bowl under my nose. Floating ice cubes....very refreshing

This is early morning, even though it is hot in the day, it is cold in the morning, I had to wear my fleece until the sun warmed stuff up. Everyone was having coffee and all I got was water again, at least it was in a camping cup.

My sissy and cousin washing their hair with the river water...bol. Mom said dirty camping hair is why hats were made. No way was she going to pour river water on her head!

Sitting in a chair is always a good thing. I can keep my eye on things.

We went on a little walk and I found a new friend...all the kids around like me cause I am so small.

I liked relaxing by the river.

This is an abandoned railroad tunnel....every year mom and dad that a leaning over picture in front of it. Some silly tradition, this year I get to be in it. We walked all the way through it, it was very cool and very dark.

Vacation Chronicles Part 2

Hi Friends, More pictures....after our fun time on the confluence, we headed down to Salida Colorado. It is south of Denver in the Rocky Mountains ,my moms mother grew up there. It still is a peaceful small town place with a slow pace. Every year they do a water festival on the Arkansas River for all kinds of water sports. This was my first time going because last year was a misery with cold weather and rain and I was just a little puppy so we skipped it. There was a parade and lots of competitions on the river. FIB Ark stands for First In Boating on the Arkansas. We stayed in Salida 3 Days and in between being in the town watching the competitions and playing in the water, we camped up in the mountains about 20 miles away...it was so fun...Mom will have some pictures of me "roughing it" on my next post. Here we were waiting outside the carnival for my sissy and cousin to come out. No Dogs were allowed, not even a toteable like me. Dad said Rules are Rules. It was OK though, mom didn't want to go on rides and the food was close so dad could go get treats for us.

The Vacation Chronicles Part 1

Hi Friends, Mom has lots of pictures of our summer adventures, so she is going to break them up over a couple of days. Our human cousin from Kansas came to visit in early June and then we took her home when we went to watch some boat races. While she was here, we started our vacation time. We went to confluence park in Denver to float in the rapids. They are a Class 5 sport course that is built for the kyakers to play in. They are fun to ride down in a tube also. I mostly liked staying on the grass, but did put my paws in once in a while. Next time a view of our dash up into the mountains for FIB Ark and a couple of nights camping!!! Until Next Time,

I went Swimming for the first time and I must tell you, I don't know what all you water dogs see in it at all. We have been camping, boat racing, and visiting relatives in Kansas, and Oklahoma. Chalk Art and Festival

Hi all my friends,
Last weekend we went downtown to have fun and see all the sidewalk art. It is an annual thing that artists do. On Saturday and Sunday they draw all kinds of things on the STREET and make pretty pictures. It is a lot of hard work and the art is very temporary...Mom and Dad just can't get over how beautiful some of the pictures are. There was a peoples fair going on the same day so we took the shuttle bus to the other side of town and browsed some of the booths. I got a new tag shaped like a bone with my name on it. Mom has to put it on my tag ring though. It was a hot day, and on the way there, I got to walk in the river with my mom and she also made sure I had lots of water to drink. It was hard work herding my humans all around the town, so I went right to sleep when we got back to the car after our adventure.

Healthy as a Horse (Almost)

Hi friends,

My VET visit went pretty good. I got a new picture on my record because I am a dog now and not a puppy. All the nurses just goo and gah all over me. I weigh almost 8 pounds but the doctor
said I was just right for my bones. He was very happy with everything about me except maybe my pesky knees...I have that chihuahua thing "luxating patella" that is why I now stand and ask to be picked up to the chair, when I used to just leap up. Doctor said I was not being stubborn like my mom thought, just wise, because I knew it might hurt. They are not so bad that I need surgery though (as long as the mom keeps me exercised and trim). My teefs and gums are excellent, cause of my raw food diet I am sure. I did have to have a blood test for those heart worm things but mom always gives me the pill so I was negative, and a rabies shot...I need a distemper shot and rattlesnake vaccine but the doctor is letting me get them a week apart. I was brave and didn't even whimper when I got the needles. I am glad that day is over. Until next time,

Hi friends,

More days in the sunshine. It has been windy here but we have still been able to get outside and play. Sunday, we went to a kind of rodeo. Mostly the cowboys were chasing cows...they had to do it really fast. I don't think the cows liked it very much. I know they didn't like me. Mom said this was not a big rodeo, with bucking broncos and such but it was still fun. I am a good boy and did not bark at the cows. Go out and have adventures my friends. Until next time

A Real Busy Weekend

Hi friends, We have had a really busy weekend....Yesterday my human sister graduated from college...my mom was all proud and weepy too. A Fun Walk and a Snake

Hi Friends,
We have been enjoying moms new work status....BOL She will have a hard time going back to work when she is called. Everyday that it is warm, we try to go to a park and explore. I just love it. I get to run and smell and leave all kinds of pee mail. Today we were at the regular sports park, just walking around and looking at the lake. I was very interested in the mud daubbers that were flying all around eating bugs off the water. Mom and Dad let me sniff all I wanted and I got really close to the water but I didn't jump in. When we were by some dried up reeds, my mom looked down and saw a huge snake. It was hunting for froggies. We thought it was a rattle snake at first but then we saw it had no rattles. Mom found pictures on her computer, it is a northern diamondback watersnake. Not poison, but a biter for sure. I was glad I didn't get to close to it. Stay safe friends. Until next time.

Today I have been living with my Mom and Dad for one whole year. Time really goes quick. Just the other day I was a tiny little pupster that went potty in the house (by accident) and ate my kibble without problems cause I didn't know about "people" food BOL...now just one short year gone by and I am a big boy that goes potty outside, hardly ever misbehaves and have mastered the " puppy eyes" that pretty much assures me anything I want. I am happy that ended up with Mom and Dad...they love me alot.

Waking up the garden

Finally spring is here! We are so happy to be able to bask in the sun outside.
Mom and Dad have been getting all the leaves off the garden that were protecting the flowers that come back to life. I have been finding all sorts of green and tasty things in the back yard. Last night was the last night of school. Mom and Dad said I did really good. Even the teacher said I "Blossomed" They still want me to come back a little bit because I finally was relaxing around the other dogs. We played some games to see if we knew "commands" and I did every one just perfect. I graduated. I probably will go on a couple of Saturdays just to fine tune stuff. Plus one of the Trainers has a fun thing called Rally...it is a combination of Agility and Obedience, I am going to try that. Boy am I tired, today was a play day...I am ashamed to say that at first, I had a bit of an attitude. There were so many dogs playing happy, that finally I started coming out of my shell and sniffed around. It was pretty nice considering it snowed all day yesterday. Lucky for us, we got to play outside. In the summer it will be really fun to go there. There are tunnels and obstacles and all kinds of fun stuff, even a pool but it is pretty deep. Hi Furiends,

I went to school last night. I am getting better with most of the doggies now. When the mean poodle lunged at me, I let him know with my snarls and a nip that he needed to back off...It worked and the big guy left me alone all night. Maybe he just needed to know that I am not a stuffie BOL. The trainer lady has a whole bunch of giant Great Danes, one of them gets to come to each school night to be a puppys aid. They are pretty nice but so big that I mostly hide from them. Last night mom, dad and the trainer lady decided for me that it was time to get to know him. Oh My Dog...his head is bigger than my whole body. I was brave and let mom hold me for sniffs. I couldn't help myself though and ran away as soon as she put me down. It's snowing here again, so much for the nice spring weather. Stay dry and warm pups. Until next time

It is finally getting nice and warm here in Denver. On Saturday we went downtown for the St Patricks Day Parade. Mom and Dad go every year, but this was my first time. I think everyone was so happy to be in sunshine, that they all decided to come downtown. It was VERY crowded. My favorite part was the walk to downtown and then back to the car. Hi friends,
Well school went a little better last night. I really wanted to hide behind dad but mom kept making me do stuff. This big giant poodle kept looking at me funny and lurching at me. I think he wanted to shake me. Thank goodness his mom had him on a sturdy leash...Mom thinks after this class ends, she might let me do private lessons so I can concentrate on learning and not on avoiding the big dogs. I am going to a play group pretty soon to play with lots of little dogs, that will probably help me relax around big dogs. Today mom made me a green bow tie to wear when we go downtown for the St Patricks Day Parade. She told me I am very handsome in it, and no one will dare pinch me.

Hard Headed

My mom has been absent from posting but has been visiting all your blogs. Some sad family stuff happened and she has just been quiet for a while. Everything is getting back to normal though and she is back to work at her most important job...updating my blog. I went to school again last Thursday and I was really upset with the big dogs, when it got time to learn, I got really stubborn. I wouldn't even eat a cheese. Mom was embarrased because I did everything ok at home and I wouldn't even sit down one time. I made my legs really stiff and just refused. I showed her who was boss. I go again tonight, I MIGHT be a good boy, my Dad is home from Georgia now, so he will be going too and I always mind him BOL. Here I am at work on Monday, I was a good boy...it was boring. Last night was my first day of obedience school. I don't know why my mom and dad want me to go to school, because I am very good. I can sit and laydown and come whenever I want to!!!! Last night a bunch of big dogs were barking and jumping around and smelling me..I was pretty good but had to walk around with my ears down and my tail between my legs. Snow Sculptures

Hey everyone...another busy weekend. On Friday we went up to the mountains to Breckenridge to see the annual snow sculpture display. We usually go on Saturdays but this year we went on Friday because mom is off work now. We got to see how the artists do the work. They start out with giant blocks of compacted snow and make the neatest statues out of them. No power tools are allowed so they are made totally by hand. There were a few ice sculptures that did allow power tools but they were just for decoration, not in the competition. It was a sunny day and I got to walk around alot, if my feet got cold mom picked me up till I wiggled to get back down. We all had fun!

Today I turned into a big dog...I am not a tiny puppy anymore. Last year I got borned and I have been in the world for one whole year. My mom said I was not a baby anymore. I had a pretty normal day at home but I did get a couple of treats. Chicken and cottage cheese for lunch and I got some ice cream on a stick for snack. YUMMMM it was real ice cream to. Warm Winter Walk

I had a wonderful weekend, it finally got warmer and I was not freezing my tummy off.
Saturday and Sunday we went to the sports park to walk and run in the sunshine. It was 50 degrees and felt sooooo good. I hope you all had a great weekend and found some warmth, either outside or under a blanket.

A new kind of Friday

Hi pupsters, you might not know but my assistant is "getting up there" in years and is thinking about the day that she retires. This year is the first year of "phasing out" the work days. She is now officially going to be home on Fridays...I am glad about that because I get to stay home too. She went to the gym later than usual and came home all relaxed. Though she and dad left me for a little while when they went to the store, I was the recipient of so much more attention. I kind of like it. Mom said she will get used to a little less $ and will certainly like the extra time with me and dad. She did get the flashy box out though.....I guess a few pictures are to be expected.

Cold and Slow

Hi Pupsters,
Today we woke up to -12 Degrees’ Not much snow but soooo cold.
Mom thought it would be ok for the drive to work because hardly any snow was hanging around on the roads. Boy was she wrong!
People were sliding off the road and causing all kinds of problems.
Mom was a speed racer and driving a scary 4 miles a hour the whole way to work.
Nothing to do but slide along.

You might think I was riding along, but No thank doG, I was not in the car

My Florida Cousins

Hi Furiends,
I mentioned my Italian Greyhound Cousins in my last post. My Auntie Dot posted a picture of them yesterday getting ready to go for a walk...It is really cold in Florida this winter and they are used to the warm weather. Poor pupsters, have to wear a coat and hat!

I have never seen my cousins in real life because they live so far away, they used to have a brother and a sister that went to the rainbow bridge a couple of years ago.
I think they would be very fun to play chase with.

Today when we got home from work, there was a box for us from Florida!!! Mom's sister lives there with her husband and my four Italian Greyhound cousins. Aunt Dot saw how I LOVE to play outside in the snow so she made me a winter outfit. It is sooooo warm and has Lamby wool on the inside of the coat and inside one of the hats. Mom put it on me right away and I was not really sure about it, I think it will be really nice when we go outside for a long time on pack walks.

A Good Walk

Hi Furiends,
Finally a good day to go on a decent walk. After mom got done reading the paper (she takes soooooo long) we headed out to the Star K Ranch to walk and run. It was so sunny and the trails were mostly dried out from the last snow storm. I had to do alot of sniffing, and I left a pee-mail before we got down to some serious walking.
I love to run between Mom and Dad, they get real far apart and then I run back and forth to each of them to get a treat...I did this about 5 or 6 times and then I was pretty tired out and happy to just walk. We went down to the water and I walked on the frozen creek, Mom got a little nervous but let me go for a little ways. We also saw alot of trees that a beaver family chewed down...those guys must have some sharp teeth because the trees were giant. Mom took lots of pictures as usual and some of them turned out pretty good. After a couple of hours, of just walking and looking, we headed to the car and then home. I got a bath and now I am sleeping away in my cozy bed on the front room footstool. Hope you all had a great weekend. Tomorrow is the shortest day of the year and then spring will start sneaking in.

OK...my Mom went to petsmart for some snack stuff and look what she found and is making me wear....A CAT hat...honestly Mom, I know I like to play with cat toys and I chase stuff like a kitty, but I am NOT pleased with this! Sigh...I guess I will wear it awhile if you give me lots of cheese when I get home.

Sunday, I was really bored, laying around trying to untie my loofah that Dad tied up to give me something to do. After the football game, Dad said we should try the walking trail so I could run off some energy. Well we got our jackets on because of the wind and off we went. When we got there it was soooooo Muddy that Mom and Dad kept sinking into the path and I really wanted to go home. The wind was making me cold even with my fleece on. So I only got a short walk but Mom and Dad got some free land to bring home BOL.

More Christmas Decorations

Hi Pupsters,Saturday and the warm sun finally came back...it has been pretty freezing cold here. Today my mom finished putting up the Christmas Decorations and I helped "sort of" She put stuff in MY room which used to be the family room. Said the stockings have to go there on Christmas Eve. She got a littler tree that would fit in the living room and the huge tree is going to live at my human sisters house. Of course she and Dad got out the annoying flashy box and tried to take my picture. I was not very cooperative. The holidays are in full swing here at our house. Until Next Time,

Hi Furiends, it is snowing here again...so much that Mom might even stay home from work tomorrow. We put up our Christmas Decorations this weekend and our home is very festive. Mom make me wear this Dorky Christmas Shirt, but I decided to humor her and only bit it for a little while. I did have to bark at some of the stuff that came out of boxes that had been in the garage rafters for a long time. Until next time pupsters!

Hi furiends,
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving Feast...My human brother and sister came over for dinner and to watch football. It was a fun time. First thing in the morning, my mom got the turkey ready...before she popped it in the oven, she cut off a wing and I got to eat it...yummy. Then it was just being with family and playing until dinner. I got cooked turkey, potatoes and gravy and some greenbeans for dinner...Oh my goodness...I LOVED it. I wondered where it was the next day though...back to my boring stuff. Mom has been enjoying the long weekend... so not much blogging going on. Until next time Pupsters,

I love to play outside in the snow...it is soooo much fun to run through it and make fun paths. Dad makes a snow ball and then tosses it for me to get...I run all around with it in my mouth until it falls apart. I don't get cold, my dad makes sure that I don't start shivering. If I look like I am starting to get cold, he makes me get in the car and we go home. I am a snow dog!

You all know that I go to work with my mom on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday...Well on Tuesday and Thursday it is boys day at our house. My dad takes me to the sports park in the morning and I get to run as much as I want. Mom saw these pictures and told dad I have to at least wear my collar with tags from now on. I have so much fun running really fast. Nobody is over there on week days so it is dog and people free. I have so much fun..I got so hot from running that I wanted to lay down in the snow to cool off. On the weekend the park is full of kids playing sports..how wasteful for a chihuahua that wants to run. Until next time,

We continued to have snow and mom came home early from work...I usually go on wednesday but I stayed home today. Dad kept a path from my door to the grass clear of snow so I could go outside and potty. It was fun walking around in the snow but I really liked to go back inside and cuddle in the warm blanket.

Today Mom and Dad were going to take me to the sports park for a nice run, but it was crawling with tons of little kids playing Sports! I wanted to chase some of those kids but Mom and Dad said NO...so off we went to Sand Creek...it is always a fun place to run. We saw people with strollers and I was very good. We also saw a HUGE husky dog...he didn't get by me though. It was sunny and bright. I think we will be going there in the winter too.

Kite Festival...cold out and cut back

Hi Furiends,
Well we went out to the kite festival today, but it was so cold, they cancelled alot of the activities. There were some giant kites but they were stuck on the ground. The vendors were there but not to happy about it. After about an hour, a couple of small kites went up, but the wind was wimpy. I guess that was good though, otherwise I would have turned into a pupcycle from the wind chill. I had my heavy sweater on but I still got cold unless I was running. Alot of the time mom or dad carried me to keep me warm. We hope it will be warmer next year. Though October is always kind of sketchy in Denver. Right now I am lounging in the orange chair on moms heated lap throw...it is mighty nice. Until next time!

Mom and Dad go every year rain, shine or possibly snow on this year. There are kite festivals all around the world and everyone celebrates by flying kites. Hi Furiends,

On Saturday, it was such a nice day that mom and dad decided to take me on a walk at Sand Creek...It is one of my favorite places to go and so close to home. They are working on the grade for flooding, so there is some HUGE construction machines parked there. I got to run around and sniff them. We also saw some workers but they were busy so I didn't visit with them. At the end of the walk we saw three deers eating in the meadow. Dad held me up so I could see them. Today I am hanging out and watching football...nice and relaxing day.

Friday is here again…mom is very happy that she can just hang at the house for a few days and relax. Lots of fall type things to do around the garden and plenty of TV and lounging. Last weekend dad was taking some pictures in the backyard of Me, mom said it would be funny to take my picture next to a pop can, like some people do with new puppies to show how tiny they are. Well mom started laughing when she saw these pictures. I think she thought I was a tiny Chihuahua…Not even close!!! I am almost 6 pounds, thank you very much. I was interested in a taste of the pop but it was all gone. Have lots of fun on the weekend pupsters.
