Looking for the sun

As you all know, we have been having cold and grey days here in the metro Denver area, we were all having cabin fever and heard a rumor of the sun showing its face somewhere near us. We bundled up and went on a search to find it.

Let me down mom...I need to sniff out the place, and find the missing sunshine.

No sun hiding under the snow by the parking blocks!

It is not hiding in the grass either....I do see a prairie dog though...maybe he is searching too.

Nope...no warm sun in this snow...it is kinda deep and sort of wet.

Wait...I can feel something nice!

There it is!!!!!! Yay for the sun and blue skys!

After all my searching, I need to lay down by the wall and soak up some of the warm.

Have a fun weekend friends....I am going to another of my Chihuahua meetups...mom will be taking pictures of me and all my friends. Until Next Time,

Draco

Really Really Cold Here....

Hi Friends,
It is so cold here that my mom is fighting me over the blanket...quess who won! Just last week we went to the Sports park and my dad was wearing a T-shirt...I don't think that would be his wardrobe today. At 12:00 it is 14 below zero. Stay warm and safe pupsters. Until next time,
Draco

I was having a fun time at the park...just got done playing fetch...I just love chasing my ball

We saw some coyote walking around the park...now they have this big sign when you go in.
See me peeking around the sign!
Yep friends, you guessed it right if you picked me as the winner of the blanket war. Mom will just have to do jumping jacks to stay warm.

yahoo...look whos two

Hi friends...been cold and wintery here in Colorado and mom has been busy clicking those sticks that make gloves and hats. She has neglected my bloggie, but she has been visiting all of my friends. Today is my Birfday!!!! I am two years old. Mom says I turned out very well, even if I am a bit "chunky". Since I went to the VET last week and they put me on the scale, mom and dad have been really watching what I get to eat. No more sneaky people food and only measured doggie foodables...I guess I need to lose about 2/12 pounds....I hope to be back in swimsuit shape by the beginning of summer. Stay safe and warm friends. Until Next Time,
Draco

Moms new skill....

Hi Friends,
My mom has picked up a new hobby...she clicks long sticks together and out comes cloth. She made me this sweater from a pattern that the mom of Dip-Dip and The Bridge directed her to. It is a pretty simple pattern for a beginner to follow. This is her first project and I think I will be getting some more that are a little more refined. At least it will keep me warm on those cold outings. Until next time.

Welcome 2011

Hi furiends,

It finally got to be freezing cold here in Colorado. We got a little snow and below freezing temps.

I recently found the best place to lay down in the whole house. In front of the little radiator that my mom uses to keep warm by her chair since dad likes the house to be 68 degrees and mom wants it warmer. I have been spending lots of time laying there recently. Stay warm and happy pupsters. Until next time.
Draco

I am not much for wearing clothes, but this sweater is sure warm.
Mom put my furry blanket down so I could relax on its softness, instead of just plopping on the hard floor.

Merry Christmas To All!!!

Merry Christmas to All My Furiends!!!!
My cousin Harley came with my Human Sister from Illinois...we are having lots of fun playing bitey face and other doggie games. This morning we had scrambled egg with a tiny bite of sausage for our special treat. Last night we ran all around keeping the humans up. Today after a play time we are sleeping with dad. I hope we get a bite of the prime rib tonight.

Until Next Time,
Draco

Here we are enjoying our scrambled eggs...Harley is a fast eater, he was helping me eat mine.
Mom seems to only have view of our bottoms, we are always on the move.

We wish you a merry bitey face!

I really don't want to share my donut bed mom...make him get down!

Merry Christmas!!!

Draco the Flying Fetch Dog

Hi everyone...here it is almost Christmas and we still don't have any snow. As a matter of fact, it was 70 degrees on Tuesday when mom took these pictures. Today it was cold but still no snow. I am really loving playing fetch with my little balls. Dad throws it and I FLY to get it and bring it back (most of the time, sometimes I get a little distracted by goose poop or some other nummy park snack) Have a fun time this weekend and stay warm all you pupsters that are putting up with the cold and the snow. Until Next Time
Draco

Come on...Lets Go...

Ok...I am so ready to chase that ball...throw it dad!
Here I go...I swear, I can fly when I am chasing that ball!
Yes...I got it..did you have any doubt?

All that fetching can make even a flying dog really tired. Dad lets me sit on his lap before we start the walk back to the car. I really love my Dad!

Ho Ho Ho....The Season Is Here

Hi Friends,

I don't have any reasons for being gone for weeks...I just have a mom who bites of more than she can chew. Silly mom...just take it outside and bury it. Anyway, we have been getting ready for Christmas and decorating the house. I really don't like the lights that much and the Tree is tempting, if you know what I mean. We had our Chihuahua Christmas Meetup, it was so much fun. I hope my mom updates my place more often but you never know around this house.

Until next time,
Draco

This is my friend Cricket...she used to live in a puppy mill, but got rescued by her forever mom and dad. She is finally getting to be a puppy and exploring stuff, even though she was forced to be a mom lots of time. She is a happy girl now.
My Friend Arnie

This is Prissie, remember her from halloween? Well I just love her, really...I would not leave her alone all day.

Ho Ho Ho...so many pupsters...this was only some of us.

This is Zoie, she is Crickets Sister...she likes me but I only have eyes for Prissie

Hanging with my dad

This is Fern...she is itty bitty and delicate, BUT she has a really big bark!
This is a picture of all the humans that were there! We have to bring them because they drive the cars!

This is another example of my mom torturing me with clothes...I guess I can humor her!

Long shadows of winter.

Hi Friends,
I have been pretty lucky this fall. It has been a little cold but not freezing. Mom and Dad take me for a run in the sports park everyday...It is so fun. I love to play fetch with my blue ball and I love running through the leaves. Mom says the shadows we make are very long cause the sun is lower in the sky now. I guess the snow will come pretty soon though. Mom got her electric comforter down from the closet and plugged it in on her orange chair. I always pick her chair when that blankie is turned on...unless she has the dreaded computer on her lap. Stay happy friends. Until next time,
Draco

We are very tall.
Somebodys been here since yesterday!

I can fetch really good.

It was way to cold to jump into the pond to get these guys. I will wait till summer

What do I hear!

Is it the squeaky ball?

Don't worry dad, I will get it.

Windy Day

Hi Friends,
I think fall is finally coming to Denver...we went to the park today and I was happy chasing a ball. Then mom and dad wanted to rest by the big tree with the picnic tables. It was a nice little rest, then all of a sudden the wind started blowing really hard and sticks were blowing out of the tree. Leaves were blowing off the tree and it looked like a leaf blizzard. The doggie bags were blowing straight out. Mom was taking pictures and then it started to rain....we were far from the car so we had to leave before we got soaked. Now it is sunny again but we came home.
I can't get mom and dad out of their chairs, so I guess I will take a nap. Until Again.
Draco

Here I am with dad, we are relaxing on the picnic table.
Uh Oh...look at the doggie bags mom...they are flying around

The tree was really letting leaves fly off...little sticks and limbs too. We had to leave.

Fall Days

Hi Friends,

I hope everyone had a real fun Halloween! I helped my mom answer the door and hand out candy. It was very warm and we had a record number of trick or treaters. A couple of them were scary though and I just had to BARK them. Yesterday my dad put the storm door thing on my dog door porch. I guess the snow will be coming soon. Enjoy all the good weather while it lasts friends. Until Again,
Draco

Here I am inside my porch...it worked fine to keep me out of the wind while mom was carving a pumpkin.

Jack-o-lanterns are strange....very strange

See you guys later!

Chihuahua Howloween!!!

Yesterday was our fun day with friends. It was the October Chihuahua Meetup and you know what that means...Trick or Treats and Halloween costumes. I met my newest little brother from my Sire...he looks kind of like me in the face, but has our dads long soft fur, coloring and little size. Mom wanted to wisk him away from his new owner and take him home. We had tons of fun running around and then we got lots of treats to take home. Still nice outside, we have been cheating the cold weather here in the city.

Hey... put down the flashy box and pick me up!
This is my mom getting all mushy with my Bio Brother...she wanted to take him home
Here we are "tiger fighting" I guess he is ok for a little guy. I will see him at meetups.
What the heck mom...take some pictures of me! That dude is a pest!
Some of the chihuahuas were new and I didn't know their name. He was a lady bug
This is my friend Ernie...he was a lobster
This girl was nice but I don't know her name.
Mom liked this scary picture of the lady bug guy!
This is my friend Oscar...he was Count Dracula. We always greet each other with a lip curl and a snarl, but warm up to each other real fast.
Some of the friends hanging in the yard. Mom wished she got a picture of all of us at once, there were about 45 chihuahuas altogether.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe Howloween.
